The Miniatur Wonderland is the most popular tourist attraction in Hamburg, Germany. It is currently over 9,000 meters long and spans an area of over 900 square meters but they are not stopping there. They plan to have over 20,000 meters of track by 2014. I am most impressed with the detail and how they have captured multiple areas of the world in one exhibit. If you are ever in Hamburg, stop by - but for the rest of us the video below will have to do.
Some facts:
- 700 trains
- 1,900 Switches
- 2,800 Buildings and Bridges
- 160,000 Figures
- 165,000 Trees
- 4,000 Cars
- 475,000 Work Hours
Below is a intro video to see everything about The Miniatur Wunderland
