Finding Gold at a Kitchen Store

The next time you are at a boutique kitchen store like “Sur La Table,” try to stroll past the latest kitchen gadgets and go to the “Gourmet Food” section. This is the area of the store that has a wide variety of dry goods, powders, spices, and more.

I’ll be honest - I never gave the section a second look until recently when I found some gold. I happened upon a bottle of White Truffle Oil - extremely cheap. I have been using this at least twice a week mixed in with mashed potatoes or with fries to give it that added kick. I also picked up some bread seasoning that had four different kinds of spices to mix wih plain oil for bread dipping.

These products are usually discounted and can really add some class and sophistication to a normal meal, so please don’t overlook the gourmet area of kitchen stores.
